A therapist, educator, and advocate…

Since 2004, I've had the privilege of walking alongside people who are healing from trauma. My work began in New York City's nonprofit and social service world: at Safe Horizon, New York Presbyterian Hospital, and the NYC Alliance Against Sexual Assault, and has since grown to include clinical practice, teaching, and training at a national level.

I earned my BA in English Textual Studies with a Minor in Anthropology from Syracuse University and my MS in Social Work from Columbia University in 2006, with a focus on clinical social work and program planning. Post-graduate training in the neurobiology of trauma and somatic healing has since become the cornerstone of how I practice.

I'm also a Senior Lecturer at Columbia School of Social Work, a published author, and an expert witness in cases involving interpersonal violence.

My work is guided by an unshakable belief: we are all wired for healing.
